FIBERGLASS & GELCOAT REPAIR...
Fiberglass
is a material consisting of extremely fine filaments of glass that are combined in yarn and woven into fabrics embedded in various resins to make boat repairs.
Gelcoat is a polyester resin which incorporates pigments for desired color and contains additives for controlling flow-out, gel and cure times.
Working with fiberglass and gelcoat is more of an art than a science. Our head technicians have over 25 years of experience with fiberglass and gelcoat.
There are numerous types of fiberglass, and the type of fiberglass used is dependent upon the watercraft. There are two different types of gelcoat: one which flexes but adheres more to scratches; the other is harder and less flexible, which works best for molds.
Hassis Paintworks can repair your fiberglass, whether it is a scratch, gouge or a major hole. We can also make molds.
Our technicians specialize in color matching, which creates amazing results. No one will notice the area of the repair when the job is complete.
